ESTEFANÍA OREJEL - MUSICIAN

About Me.
Some people want to leave their mark on the world,
I want to leave an echo.
ECOO (echo in Spanish) is what I want to leave in the lives of my students and my customers. I want my legacy to continue to resonate in their lives, even when I am gone. A beautiful echo sound created in my future music academy and in my music performances that will stay resonating throughout a great musical experience.
ECOO is formed by the initials of my name Estefanía del Carmen Orejel Orejel, which I have found amazing because without my parents knowing that I was going to dedicate myself to music, that very special acronym is formed. I have decided to take it as the name of my school and my group, and through them I will carry out my mission.
I am the founder and director of “ecoo”: a music group that plays in church masses for special ceremonies. As a catholic musician, I want to help people experience the Mass in a more intimate and sublime way. With my music ensemble I found a way to put together my catholic faith and my musical talent.
I started playing the guitar when I was 6 years old. Sometimes, I helped my professor with a little group of beginner’s students while he was with more advanced ones. Probably that is the place where my passion for music and teaching started.
I studied classical guitar and choral conducting at the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia, Michoacán, México. In December 2022, I finished the MM in Music Learning and Teaching at Arizona State University.
Currently, I am a Professor of the Bachelor's degree in Music at Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, I teach guitar and piano private lessons and direct my music ensemble for special ceremonies in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, México.
